• Prahran Market is closing Elizabeth Street (just off Chapel Street) and hosting a 3-day street and market party with a red-hot lineup of food vendors, musicians and entertainment. The wintry, smoky, fiery feast is taking place over the weekend of the Winter Solstice, where you can expect food and beverage activations, music, and entertainment in a closed Elizabeth Street and throughout all Prahran Market precincts.

More than ‘just’ food, The Sinner’s Roast celebrates the senses. Enjoy live music from local blues artists on two different stages and roaming entertainment from NICA artists and Play About Place.

This is an all ages, free event. Day to night.

The Sinner’s Roast is proudly supported by the City of Stonnington, and by the Victorian Government through Business Victoria.

  • Atlas Dining
A street-style smoked menu from hatted restaurant, Atlas Dining. Featuring market-sourced produce from Pino’s Fine Produce and Neil’s Meats, this is a street-style taste of the smoky sensations that Charlie Carrington is known for at the beloved Atlas Dining on Commercial Road.

    Glacé Dessert
A 14-layer cake: The Winston, from Glacé Desserts. The brainchild of local dessert legend, Christy Tania, this incredible chocolate layer cake with smoked whiskey cream is a hat-tip to the smoking sensation, Winston Churchill. Not one for waste, cake offcuts are transformed into Winston’s Balls, branded with the catch cry ‘Never, never give up’. Event exclusive.

    Panza Piena
Pizzaiolo and fine-artist extraordinaire, Sara Sidari is bringing her talents (and the piccola Panza truck) to Elizabeth Street, slinging fired pizzas to order.

    The Que Club
Pitmasters, Pam and Andrew Kavanagh, are bringing the fire and smoke with their American-style barbecue meats. Expect smoked and pulled free-range pork, and 12-hour smoked Angus brisket burgers for lunch; and flame-kissed meats like lamb racks from the open fire pit for dinner.

    Matsuyama Yakitori
Cooked over ogatan charcoal, this street-style yakitori includes chicken thigh, tenderloin, wingettes, skin, heart and liver, along with kangaroo, pork belly and veg options, with the signature sauce from Chef “Kenny” – so popular they’re about to open a permanent shop in Market Square.

    Sweet&Chilli
In the mix with all the other favourite alcoholic tipples is the signature Talker Hot Toddy – a warming cocktail with a native twist available across the three days, and three separate bars (Elizabeth Street and Market Square), at The Sinner’s Roast.

    Oltre Alimentari e Cucina
Indulge in melted Caciocavallo cheese, cooked over smoky hot coals (the Italian version of raclette). Rich, gooey, burnished, and full of flavour, poured over soft potatoes and served with crunchy pickles and sweet onions.

    Arthur’s Grilled Chicken
A moreish marinated and flame-grilled chicken, served with zingy salad and sauce. Prefer it on a stick? Smoking hot skewers are also on the menu.
